We've all been to local restaurants that have those small wooden triangles filled with colorful golf tees sticking out of them. You know, jump one golf tee over another to remove as many as you could, then have your intelligence graded by the number of tees you had left. After a while, the triangle just doesn't cut it. What if it were a different shape or shape(s), now that would be a real challenge. With this came the idea for one very addictive computer game... MarbleHop®.

Back in the summer of 1997 the idea of making a puzzle game based on the golf tee game, but taking to the next level, lead us to the creation of MarbleHop®. We created countless drawings of game boards, and swaped out the golf tees for marbles. In the end we decided on the 12 classic boards you now find in the original MarbleHop® game series.

The MarbleHop® Series

In early 1998 the first MarbleHop® game was released to great reviews. We were even lucky enough to be included in a full page write up in Children's Software Review Magazine titles "Learning with Marbles". We even released a "Limited Edition" version of the games titled MarbleHop Extreme, with 15 larger and more difficult boards.

By the summer of 1999 we gave MarbleHop® a fresh new look and added a new features and upgrades to enhance the game play. We even included two of our more popular mini-titles as a bonus. In May of 2000 MarbleHop 2000 "Millennium Edition" was released, once again to great reviews.

In 2001 the MarbleHop® brand was passed over from Psyonic Entertainment to Psyonic Studios to continue the development on the new MarbleHop Masters™ characters and the next series of MarbleHop® games.

UPDATE: Development of the first in a series of new MarbleHop® games is under way. "MarbleHop Masters™: Origins of the Crystal", will evolve the MarbleHop® concept into an exciting series of story based logic games designed to test your mind to its limit. Scheduled for release this summer, MarbleHop Masters™ will be the MUST HAVE HIT for the holidays. More information and screen shots will be posted in the coming months here on PsyonicGames.com.
